Children have bad days too!

I’ve seen this before & boy does it speak true to my almost 3 year old. Children are known for giving honest answers (most of the time) and this morning he was having a rough time for no reason other than he’s almost 3 & I asked why… “I don’t know Mama” was his response. I scooped him up & gave him a huge hug & said It’s OK to not know sometimes!!! Amazing to see the changes my Baby Boy is going through, and that he’s starting to become aware of his feelings! We’re getting somewhere!! YES, we need to teach them to be respectful, empathetic, caring individuals but we also need to acknowledge that they too have bad days & bad moods just like the rest of the human population!

It is amazing to see the growth they go through each day! My 28 month old surprised me last night when as I announced to her that I was leaving to go grocery shopping, she asked clear as day if she could with me to the store! My brain thought “I’m sorry since when do you just speak like that!”. Bittersweet to see them grow.

Just wait 6 more months, by son is 34m, and says things like “thanks for making me this delicious food Mama”. He blows me away constantly with his perfect sentences. It’s soooo amazing & fun to watch them progress!!
